"If you pick up a starving dog and make him prosperous, he will not bite you. This is the principal difference between a dog and a man" - Mark Twain
Do you want to adopt/rescue?
For Adoption to Approved Families - I will NOT ship my rescues...
I may have rescues available that are not listed as I am always working with rescue groups to help place animals in loving forever homes. If you are interested in a dog for adoption, please feel free to contact me.
I will be happy to tell you a little more about each dog, please email klfuhrma@yahoo.com and let me know a little about the potential home for the dogs if you are interested.
Occasionally we will adopt and foster rescues until we can find them a loving "forever home". Feel free to contact us about possible rescues looking for a home.
I will be happy to keep you on a waiting list if you would like to be contacted about future rescues. You must be willing to pick the dog up. I WILL NOT ship rescues as they are usually older dogs and not knowing what they have been through in their lives to this point I do not want to stress the rescues.
A note about rescues..
Each rescue is special. Each rescue comes with their own set of issues - some big-some small. I have seen rescues go to homes with young children and do wonderfully, and I have taken in dogs that I would not re-home due to potential issues they might have. The most important thing when looking for a rescue is that you are open to the fact that the dog might need some work and take some time to become the dog you imagine in your home. Some rescues have been abused, neglected, left in cages, chained, been in a yard their entire life - and they have not lived the life of training, walks in dog parks, and all the love you can give them. I take them in and evaluate them and try to place them in the best homes possible - you must be willing to do the work with them too..If you are not.. a rescue is not for you..
If you are looking to give a dog in need a " loving forever home" please email klfuhrma@yahoo.com for more details.
I will be happy to help you find a rescue if I do not have one available. I am active with several rescue groups and might have connections at the time you are looking.. I will be happy to work with you if you would like..
I am very passionate about animals. I do not ever want to have an animal that came from this home end up in a shelter or rescue group. When purchasing a puppy from us, you will sign a contract that states you are never to give the dog away, to a shelter, another owner, a rescue, or dump the dog ANYWHERE. We screen our potential families to make sure our babies go to the best possible home life and that the dog is suitable for your family. We like to hear updates and see pictures as our puppies grow. If there is ever a situation where you become ill or for any reason you are unsuited to care for your Labradoodle any longer, you are to return the Labradoodle to us. There will be no refund. We will either try to keep the dog here or we will find it a loving forever home.
If you would like to make a donation to support the rescues of Doodle-Love we would appreciate all your kind contributions and loving energy sent our way. We feed all of our rescues Human Grade/Organic food and supplement with Multi-Vitamins and Glucosamine as well as maintain a worming and flea/tick preventative and appropriate vet care for all of our dogs - including our rescues. Some of our rescues come to us from Kill Shelters while others are from families who could no longer care for their animals. Some are road wandering, lost souls to whom we give a second chance.
We appreciate all your love and support, and our rescues thank you more than you will ever know.

Katie (Belgian Shepherd) was rescued from a busy highway intersection. She was bloated and hungry. She needs hip replacement surgery. We think that she was dumped on the street because her previous owners did not want to deal with her health problems. We have given her a loving forever home.
Katie and Toggle napping on our couch... or their couch!
Patch is a Lab/Pit mix. He was found as a puppy on the side of the road. He had worms and was 10 weeks old by the vet estimate. Seven years later he is happy here at his forever home.
Wheezy - Labradoodle Rescue - A true success story. Rescued from a life harsh conditions is now living happy with her new family and enjoys going to work every day with her daddy!
This is Oscar, 2yr Labradoodle whose family left him. We rescued him from a Kill Animal Shelter and he is now thrilled to be with a warm bed, friends to play with, plenty of food to eat, and a great loving forever family.
